As you may or may not have heard, Maggie McGary is leaving her role as Online Community and Social Media Manager at ASHA. Since I started engaging on Twitter a little over a year ago, Maggie’s presence representing ASHA has made a huge difference in my participation in the online community. While I only “truly met” her in person for the first time a few weeks ago, I have greatly appreciated everything she has done for the SLPeeps and for ASHA for much longer. So, here are the top ten reasons we will all miss Maggie McGary!
Update (10/21): We have sent out an email with more details on the flash mob! Because of the nature of flash mobs, we are keeping the majority of the details between the people who are participating. 🙂 However, I will say that there has been some amazing group effort involved, and it is shaping up to be pretty incredible. If you would like to do it with us, we would be more than happy! Email me at atklingensmith @ gmail . com, and I will send you the information!
Update (10/15): There is now a listly list for this! We’re still sorting out a couple details about the flash mob, but it looks like it’s definitely going to happen and definitely going to be crazy fun! 🙂 Add yourself to the list so we know who is planning on attending. I considered entitling this post, “Wait, How Did I Get Roped Into This?!” Because yes, we are going to be doing a flash mob at ASHA Convention. (Go ahead and blame @Pediastaff for throwing out the idea to us!) But you crazy #SLPeeps have a way with shenanigans, so here goes…!
